Walk: Quezon City Memorial Circle (again)
05 November - Walk
A new flower garden was opened inside the Quezon Memorial Circle. I have to say, their Landscape Architect (whoever that may be) did a very good job.
I was planning on going out today, but the heat is seriously crazy! The second floor of our house feels like a pressure cooker (passive cooling my ass), and the intense sunlight just makes me want to hide out in my room (which is in the first floor btw) all day and not come out.
This reminds me that I had to skip 3/4 of my class yesterday because I forgot my homework for Maam Amp and it was worth a lot of points. I was already in UP and I had to go back to the house, which is an hour away by commuting. Two of the four jeeps I rode on just haaaaad to stop to get gas and all of them moved sooooo slow.
And of course I had to walk under the freaking sun and the temperature that afternoon ranged from 35 to 36 degrees Celsius (putangina! ang init!!!). I was rolling my eyes on each passenger who walked to the jeeps too slow (including one lola… sorry po).
By the time I made it to CS it was already 30 minutes before dismissal, not that I care (I hate chemistry). But I was supposed to spend the entire period reviewing for a test. Now all that time was wasted in sitting on super slow jeepneys and walking through the concrete valley of death that is Quezon City in the summer.
There are times when I wish I have a car, but then again, they just eat up money.
So now my motivation to go out has entirely been zapped out of me. I shall remain a couch potato for the rest of the summer.
BTW, this city really needs more trains and subways, not that the city government (which is beyond corrupt) is doing anything about it.
